Registration

Admission is 18 euros and dinner (a cold-warm buffet) 14 euros. Please state upon registration whether you would like the buffet and pay the complete amount beforehand. The food is very nice and you really do not want to miss this.

Please register before 14 April 2012, if possible using our online form (explicit instructions there), otherwise by contacting Marie Schwarz and Anselm Lingnau on +49(0)6131-8807925 or ball2012@frankfurt-scd-club.org for pre-payment details. Guests from outwith the Euro zone may pay at the door but must still register ahead of time.

Directions

www.bahn.de

By train: Go to Frankfurt main station (Hauptbahnhof) and from there take the U4 subway (low-level station) to »Enkheim«. Stay on the train until the terminus. The ride takes 20 minutes, and only every other train actually goes on to Enkheim! The older method (suburban railway S1-S6, S8, S9 from low-level tracks 101/102 to »Konstablerwache«, from the other side of the platform there take the U7 subway to »Enkheim«) still works but is slower and you need to change trains. (For BahnCard holders: With a »Frankfurt+City« ticket, no extra RMV ticket is required.) The Volkshaus Enkheim is directly opposite the station, on the right in the direction of travel of the subway. (See www.bahn.de for more details.) The U4 runs city-bound at night every 20 minutes until 12.38 a.m. (U7 likewise until 12.48 a.m.), and after that there is a half-hourly night bus connection leaving on 1.01 a.m., 1.31 a.m. etc. from the »Enkheim« subway station to Konstablerwache and on from there (night bus hub). Buses to Maintal are running until 1.35 a.m.

By car: Follow the A66 motorway (Fulda-Frankfurt) until its western end (exit »FFM-Bergen-Enkheim«) and turn right onto Borsigallee. Follow this for approximately 500 m (600 yds) and find the Volkshaus Enkheim on the right-hand side. Alternatively, from the west, south or east go on A3 (Frankfurter Kreuz-Würzburg) to the Offenbacher Kreuz, from there on A661 (direction Bad Homburg) to the »FFM-Ost« exit, or from the north on A5 (Kassel-Frankfurt) to the Bad Homburger Kreuz and also on A661 (direction Frankfurt/Offenbach) to »FFM-Ost«. Turn east there on Hanauer Landstraße (B8 direction Hanau) and follow this for about 3 km (4 mi), then turn left onto Vilbeler Landstrasse. After about 1 km (0.7 mi), the Volkshaus Enkheim is on your left. (Routing programs and navigation systems may come up with shorter routes, but this one is easiest to explain here.) Parking: Near the Volkshaus there is a considerable number of parking spaces, either between the building and Vilbeler Landstrasse or else to be reached by driving around the far end of the building. Besides, space should be available in the surrounding residential and business areas. If all else fails, there is a large P+R car park on Borsigallee (city-bound), approximately 700 m (0.4 mi) from the Volkshaus Enkheim. We would advise against using the Hessen-Center car park because it is closed completely when the shops close.

Accommodation

We're happy to give advice on accommodation possibilities by mail or phone (there are some hotels within walking distance). There is also very limited opportunity for sleeping-bag accommodation with members of the group – please ask well in advance!
