Yet another opportunity for members and friends of the Frankfurt SCD Club and RSCDS Central Germany Branch to meet, get to know one another, and dance in a relaxed atmosphere.
Ann Dix, the London dance teacher, deviser of dances such as »Culla Bay«, and good friend of many of us here in Germany, from workshops or RSCDS Summer School, sadly passed away long before her time in early November. We’d like to dedicate the 10th anniversary Tea Dance to her and her dances, and so this year’s motto is
»Ready Steady Ann – A Celebration of Ann Dix«
Anselm Lingnau will teach some of Ann’s dances (and some that have an Ann connection) at intermediate level – although advanced dancers are, as always, very welcome. There will be an ample break for tea and coffee, and after the dancing we will once more adjourn to a nearby pizza restaurant with anyone who wants to stay on.
Admission (includes tea/coffee/cake): 5 euros for RSCDS members, 7 euros for everyone else.
Important: The event does not take place at the Haus der Jugend in Sachsenhausen, but at the St Dionysius community centre in Sindlingen (like the 2012 Tea Dance). The hall there is somewhat smaller, so we would recommend registering early! We can accommodate approximately 4 sets; if necessary, people will be admitted in order of registration.
